A Bit of Unfairness
Yes, I know that Nexon does unfair things at times, but this one effects me, and many other Maple-News Staff.
Dear Windians,
As you may know there has been an unintentional rollback on the Windia server. Not all players were affected by this but players that were affected lost less than 24 hours of gameplay. Unfortunately, due to the nature of this rollback, it cannot be reversed. This was something we wished that would not have happened and we sincerely apologize that it has.
To compensate the players affected by the rollback we are:
- Refunding all NX spent during the rollback period.
- Allocating 3,000 Maple Points per affected account.
And for the entire world of Windia we are hosting a 2x EXP and Drop event for Windia on July 30, 12 PM-6 PM Pacific (3 PM-9 PM Eastern).
Again, we apologize for any distress this might have caused for the affected Windians. Please know that we are actively working on preventing such a situation for all Maplers.
-The MapleStory Staff-
Don’t get me wrong, I feel sorry for the Windians, but what about Scania? If you play in Scania or know anyone who does, you should know that Scania has been having rollbacks for the last few days before the scheduled server checks. Many players, including myself, in Scania have lost NX, mesos, items, and levels. So far, Scania is yet to receive any word events, refunds, or Maple Points.
[GMS] Scheduled Server Maintenance on July 27, 2010.
There will be a scheduled server maintenance for all game servers on July 27th. MapleStory will be unavailable to be played during this time. The maintenance will be 7 hours long. If you have bought a world transfer for your character it will not be transferred this week, but next week your character will be transferred. They will be adding new cash shop items!
The Server Maintenance will be fixing some issues that we have been experiencing the past week. The server maintenance will be fixing mainly 3 problems. The auto ban problem that has been banning innocent maplers that seek to train at the Haunted House will be resolved, and all accounts that have been banned will be unbanned, and be able to safely play after the maintenance. The maps will be safe to use for everyone. Cassandra’s Top Secret Event Blank Scrolls will no longer give out 40% blank scrolls, and if you have these scrolls you can trade them into Gaga for 50% blank scrolls. The great and useful Duey Delivery System will be fixed, and be able to be used after this maintenance as well. We know there may be more problems with the new patch, but they also stated “We are still actively investigating issues that may not have been mentioned. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you in game soon.”, so all we can do is wait. Nexon will surely look through all the tickets, and etc.
Server Maintenance Time:
Pacific: 10:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Tuesday, July 27th, 2010
Eastern: 1:00 AM - 8:00 AM, Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Nexon’s slashing again…
Dual Blade is a great job. Nexon did not bug the skills like prior jobs, however, they slashed the skills. And I mean it!
Look at the pictures below, in order to gain full attributes with these skills, people would have to buy the upgrades, (the Cash Shop- Mastery Books). And to top it off they did not stop at ONE skill slash, but at least SIX!
Note this is the description that came with all of the scrolls: ” You have 90 days to use this Mastery Book, once you use it, the skill will increase into it’s maximum skill point tally, and you will receive one extra skill point.”
2900 Nx for a Second Job!?
3900 NX!?
You have got to be kidding me.
Sudden raid! It’s one of the MOST important skills, Nexon how could you cripple this job!? And for 8900 NX!?
Six thumps down!
(Are you amazed yet!?)
Now think…: (If you were to play all the way up to level 31 or 71 or 121 or even level 200, if you wanted all of the features that this class had to offer, then you would have to pay at least 2900 NX to 36,400 NX to get all of the features. Even a 25$ Pre-paided card would not even do it.)
Does anyone remember a skill and a job that Nexon has “slashed” (reduced), until you had to pay a Mastery Book Fee? [Please answer below!]
I do not believe that these every basic Dual Blade skills would charge the average player to buy NX. This is playing dirty, and I know you guys are a bit (maybe more than that) mad/angry/(name your cuss word.)
Please comment below and share your thoughts about Nexon, how they do business, and other things about this. If you don’t comment, no one would hear your opinion, and your opinion counts!
[GMS]{Completed} Unscheduled Server Maintenance! 7/21/10!
The Maintenance has been completed. The game servers came up at 6:58 pm!
Nexon has began Server Maintenance on MapleStory. They report that the maintenance will last for about 4 hours, and they are going to be fixing some issues with the new DualBlade Class, and will be fixing these problems:
- Dual Blades will no longer be auto-blocked falsely.
- Dual Blades will no longer be unable to equip items that had been in storage.
- Users that do not have max character slots will receive a free character slot.
- Items held in storage or gained through merchants will not longer be unequipable due to durability.
They will also fix the auto-ban problem occurring with some other players.
Maintenance Time:
Pacific: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday, July 21st, 2010
Eastern: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Dual Blade Glitch Bans Innocent Users
The Dual Blade buzz was cut short as innocent users were banned by the auto-ban system. Iris and I were some of the users affected by this auto-ban glitch. The glitch seems to be affecting users who are playing Dual Blades (we have yet to receive any reports of non-Dual Blade users being banned) and advise all users to refrain from playing or making a Dual Blade until the patch is complete.
More information will be posted when we have it.

Epic Changes for MapleStory Weapons
No MapleStory hero would be complete without an epic weapon with which to fight off the forces of evil! Now there are changes coming to the MapleStory weapon system that will make your weapon more epic than ever!
Here’s how it works.
Item Rank
Items are now being separated into “ranks” that will help you distinguish between common, less valuable and rarer, more valuable items.
- Items will now have a border identifying its rarity:
- White border: Normal items
- Blue border: Rare items
- Purple border: Epic items
- Yellow border: Unique items
- When an item drops from a monster they have a random chance to be Normal, Rare, Epic or Unique. Items ranked rare or above have “hidden potentials.”
- A “hidden potential” item is shown with a red border.
-
- “Hidden potential” items can be identified by using a magnifying glass available from merchants in major towns.
- The following magnifying glasses are available:
i. Basic Magnifying Glass – Can identify items up to level 30
ii. Average Magnifying Glass – Can identify items up to level 70
iii. Advanced Magnifying Glass – Can identify items up to levels 120
iv. Premium Magnifying Glass – Can identify all items
Item Potential
Under this new system, some weapons now have hidden potential attributes that are randomly assigned. Normal items have their usual attributes but Rare or better items will randomly be given one to three hidden potential attributes. The higher the rank of the item the better the potential attribute will be.
Unlocking these attributes requires the use of a “Potential Scroll.”
A Normal item’s potential attribute are not visible until a Potential Scroll is used on the item. Use a Potential Scroll on the item to make it “Unidentified” then use a Magnifying Glass to reveal the potential.
All Rare rank and higher items have their potential hidden attributes visible on inspections.
Potential Scrolls can drop from monsters in the world or they can be found by using the Miracle Cube Cash Shop item. Each Miracle Cube used will yield one scroll fragment. Combine five to create a Potential Scroll and 10 to create an Advanced Potential Scroll.
Using the Miracle Cube on an identified will reduce it to an unidentified state. Reusing a Magnifying Glass will reveal a new set of Potential traits.
Click here to find out more about Miracle Cubes
The “Item Revamp” Equipment Enhancement
Item Revamps are applied to equipment when the upgrade slots are used up.
1. Apply an Equipment Enhancement Scroll or Advanced Equipment Enhancement Scroll. Each successful use will increase the item’s stats!
2. The success rate of the scroll will decrease as the number of enhancements increases.
3. Should the enhancement fail, the item will be destroyed.
The number of yellow stars above an item’s name shows the number of successful enhancements the item has received. One star means the item now belongs to the Excellent Class and the item name will be in red in the description. Three stars mean Special Class and the item name will show in green.
DestinyMS: The Latest Server To Pocket Donations?
We received an anonymous tip from a former DestinyMS developer urging us to post an article warning users of the alleged malicious activities of DestinyMS owner and administrator, Duncan (known to players as Shadow). Although we usually like to have more solid information before going on the words of a single person, given the growing trend of pocketing donations we feel obligated as informers of the MapleStory community to warn the community of the possible malicious intent of the DestinyMS administration.
According to our source three of DestinyMS’ PayPal accounts were locked by Nexon. Each account allegedly contained $300.00 USDs and were released after 90 days and our anonymous tipster told us the money in those accounts was not used to pay off server fees.
Duncan is now asking for donations to upgrade the server. A total of $3,850.00
Hello all you (loyal) players!
We want to upgrade our current server into a whole lot better, and we can get a good price for a good server.
But we need your help!
Current idea of Specs:
2 x Quad core E5504 2.0Ghz
32GB ram
2x300gb SAS 15k
However, we want even more if possible! have a better connection.
The current idea is that we use this as our main server, and maybe expand it. The more players we get, the ‘cheaper’ the server becomes per player. The more we can expand.
For the current plan we need about 3.000 euro (around 3850USD) to get started. There is no big rush and we can save up with money we have left over from our normal payments.
The amount might seem high, but this is for a whole year.
There are allot more options available if we manage to save up more money. So we might even open up more worlds (at possibly different rates, or not GMS alike… these options are open for discussion later). But this is just an idea. There are allot more things we could try.
But to achieve this, we need YOUR help. Considering we have over a 1000 active players (400-500 online), this would basically be an average of 4USD per player. And is entirely doable in our opinion.
To donate, contact a staff member either on forums, irc or ingame for more information.
Remember, we need your help to improve DMS. This idea is not for anytime to soon, does not have to be instant, but this is what we want to work towards.
The new site will also have improved donating implemented. Eliminating any waiting times
Regards.
DMS Administration.
Allegedly Duncan is pocketing donations made by players believing their money was going to server fees (similar to a recent situation with the private Server AbideStory). It is believed this latest request for donations to upgrade the server is another ploy by Duncan to trick players into donating for the server in order to fill his bank account. We have yet to receive a comment from DestinyMS and will update this post with more information as we receive it. If you have any information regarding this article please contact us at maplenewsnetwork@gmail.com or use the contact form on our website.
Before you comment, please be aware that this post is currently based on one witness’s account and that none of this is proven. Let us know what you think.

MapleGlobal Maintenance, Again
Here we go again.
Attention Maplers,
All MapleStory servers will be undergoing an unscheduled server maintenance at 3:35PM Pacific (6:35PM Eastern). We have identified an issue and will be working on resolving it. We currently do not have an estimated schedule for this maintenance. We will provide regular updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience during this maintenance.
Hopefully the game will not be rolled back (again) and there will be compensation for those who purchased 2x EXP coupons and Golden Temple tickets for today’s 2x EXP event.
I know there’s a lot of anger over everything which I believe is totally fair considering the circumstances. The blame rests on Nexon and the hackers who caused this whole cluster@*%$. However, I would like to thank -Hime-, seemingly the only Nexon employee who has bothered to keep us updated on everything via Nexon forums. Please give her a big thank you if you stop by there for at least offering some type of communication to the community.
-Savage
Return of the Explorers Ring Event Will Not Be Extended
Via -Hime- on Nexon forums:
-Hime-:
Nintendude09: While they are there, tell them to extend the ring event, just like they did with all the CASH events..Sorry that is not something we can do on our side. Unfortunately, as much as we wanted to extend the event (and we definitely considered it) it was not possible.
Ridiculous Roll Back in MapleGlobal Causes Many Users to Quit
Hundreds of thousands of dedicated players to the MapleGlobal MapleStory version run by NEXON America in Los Angeles, California were disappointed last night when they heard the Dual Blade release was postponed a week. But, no one could expect what would happen this afternoon once the near 24-hour maintenance yielded.
ROLL BACK
Not your typical rollback usually a few minutes or a few hours but almost a week. Players (many of which who are staff members who play the game) lost their characters, their levels, their money, NX items, guilds, buddies, etc. KobeKun, a fellow writer worked hard on a level 30+ character the past few days while helping the new Maple-News guild, Repulse, in Scania. So, what happened? His character no longer exists (along with the money, items, and NX he used on it in the past few days). Savage’s character in Scania received a zakum helmet for his character and now no longer has it (after doing a zakum run which takes a lot of time and effort). Our whole guild was completely decimated after spending time and NX advertising and building friendships with people. Now they’re all gone and we have no idea how to get them back.
We understand how dire the situation was (potentially destroying the economy permanently) but the question any logical player has to ask is, “How did this happen in the first place?” What about all the hacking prevent shields (HackShield, firewalls, etc.) and server protection. These hackers were sending packets to the server and exploiting holes in the server. Although hackers were the ones who caused this whole ordeal, it was Nexon’s lack of security and haste to stop them before it got out of hand (they announced they knew about the hack a day after maplers on forums and other fan sites knew). Instead, almost every mapler has been rolled back in one way or another and many have lost items that can’t just be re-purchased and levels that took time they may not have now. Worst of all, none of this was hinted at or revealed at all by Nexon (clearly knowing it would cause an insane uproar) and a compensation they offered this:
Dear Maplers,
As you may be aware, an exploitable bug in MapleStory resulted in fake mesos being generated by malicious users. Once we identified this problem, we made the difficult decision to bring down the MapleStory servers to prevent further harm from being caused. Fake mesos increases the prices of Maple items for everyone, and this is an unacceptable activity which harms the game experience for all our players. While the servers are offline, we plan to fix the bug, remove all mesos that were falsely generated, and potentially take action against any exploiters who used this bug. Due to the severity of this issue, many accounts may be restored to a prior state. Any NX spent after the restore point will be refunded to impacted players.
Extended Maintenance
We anticipate servers will remain offline for tonight as we enter our regularly scheduled weekly maintenance period. Servers will be brought back online tomorrow morning at 6 am Pacific (9 am Eastern).
New Dual Blade Launch Date
Unfortunately, addressing this issue impacts our game development schedule, and so we’ll be pushing the Dual Blade launch date to Wednesday, July 21st. The additional time ensures that we are able to fix the current issue, and fully prepare for the Dual Blade update. We know how much our players have been looking forward to the launch of Dual Blade. We’ve had a lot of fun working on the update events, the Q&A and other activities, and we’ll continue to work to ensure a smooth release next week.
Compensation
We know that the downtime, the update delay and the bug itself is bad for our players, and so we’ll be offering a mix of compensation and events that all players can participate in.
– Cash item extension
– 5,000 Maple Points for users that logged in between 7/11/2010 and 7/13/2010.
– The Golden Temple will be available for one extra week. Golden Temple ticket items will also be available with the Golden Temple Invitation on sale and all the Golden Temple packages offering double the number of invites than before.
– Vega’s Spell will remain on sale for one extra week.
– One A Day Sale will also be extended for a week. Make sure to check out the daily item!
– 2x EXP and Drop events on the following dates:
a. Wednesday, July 14th 12 PM – 6PM Pacific Time (3 PM – 9 PM Eastern)
b. Thursday, July 15th 12 PM – 6PM Pacific Time (3 PM – 9 PM Eastern)
c. Friday, July 16th 12 PM – 6 PM Pacific Time (3 PM – 9 PM Eastern)
d. Saturday, July 17th 10 AM – 10 PM Pacific Time (1 PM – 1 AM Eastern)
e. Sunday, July 18th 10 AM – 10 PM Pacific Time (1 PM – 1 AM Eastern)
Downtime, downtime, downtime. Okay, so what about the roll backs? What about the levels? 5,000 maple points and a couple 2x EXP events and you expect us to forgive you? If you log on any world you’ll see super megaphones by users plainly saying, “Fuck you Nexon, I quit.” This is a pathetic compensation and depending on your situation it may be a good idea to quit. Clearly Nexon America does not understand the magnitude of what they’ve done and offering a 6 hour 2x EXP event every day until July 18th is not going to fix the problem. At the very least, 24 hour 2x is in order for the next week as well as a larger NX compensation and a customer service workforce dedicated to helping people who lost their items. Golden Temple tickets on sale? They should be FREE! All the events should be extended (Return of the Explorers, for example, for those who’s characters were rolled back) This is a slap in the face for a lot of maplers.
Although many of you may consider this post a rant (which it kind of is, I’ll admit it) I think everyone is a bit pissed off right now, to say the least. Post your experience with the roll back below and how you were affected.
Dual Blade Has Been Rescheduled…
We have rescheduled the Dual Blade release from Wednesday, July 14, 2010 to next week, Wednesday, July 21, 2010. We apologize for this rescheduling as we understand many players are excited for this momentous update. We want to ensure the update passes our quality check and we are able to deliver it with minimal difficulties. During this time we also hope to resolve some of the current game issues players have been experiencing. Please bear with us as we perform the additional necessary testing.
DAMN IT! Oh well, at least I will be on vacation for a week, so perfect timing on my view. Tell us what YOU think of Nexon’s move to reschedule Dual Blades to next week~

Another Meso Exploit?
A new meso exploit as come to surface recently, and it may be even worse than the last one.
This hack takes place in leafre where the etc. item “Griffey’s Horn” is found. This is the most valuable etc. item so far. What this packet hack, it duplicates the item by 4,800 and puts it into your inventory. this is done every 15 minutes, as it takes that long to duplicate, and can make you 120m every hour. There is one thing that many found out about it. Instead of making another meso virus move, Nexon decided to put an IP ban on anyone who uses whit packet editing software. At least it’s better than the hellbans people recived earlier this month. Tonight, there will be a server maintenence before the v88 DualBlade Patch to fix it. Let’s hope not another one arises after its release. Only time will tell…
Rethink Maplestory…
This will be updated as more information comes in. (If you have any additional information that we overlooked in this post, then please notify us by commenting below or emailing us at maplenewsnetwork@gmail.com.)
This is a BIG change in the Maplestory environment. So many things changed they even held a press conference in the Grand Inter-Continental hotel about the upcoming summer patch of Korea MapleStory.
This will cover the patch on July 9, 2010. Or KMS 1.2.101. Other Patches will be covered as they come out. (If we missed anything, please comment or e-mail us.)
1. The Biggest Update of all is all Job Skill changes. Everything has been either revamped or downgraded. Please look at these posts to see the ones that has been changed:
From ME- “I can say this is a netural change. It is good and it is bad for all the jobs.” {NETURAL}
2. In KMS. In the first update, EVERYONE gets ONE SP scroll for free. So you can reset all your skills and get ready for your big adventure into the new land.
From ME- “Thanks, you at least care about your players. It is going to be a tough time just trying to kill the newly updated monsters with the current skills. They care.” Thumbs up (1)
3. Notice the UI (user interface), it changed. It sorta looks more like the interface from a certain computer OS.
Before the Patch >>> After the Patch
From ME- “Great now people wouldn’t be bored when they play. This will give this game a bit of substance and I believe they did a good job revamping their UI.” Thumbs up (2)
4. Along with the UI (User Interface), the second picture with the skills and the ability points have gotten raised. If you can notice the status changed. Using this picture I’ll explain:
Attack – 1999~3574 -> 3575~5107 a big increase in stats, and look there were no changes in either STR, DEX, INT, or LUK.
Everything else such as defense, accuracy, avoidably and other stats had increased.
The new formula KMS had implemented after the patch had changed the damage and other status, which makes them either higher or lower.
In KMS, everyone starts out with a 5% critical rate. This can be increased by skills like holy attractions, Critical Combo and Sharp Eyes (just naming a few).
Now, every character can apply damage critically. Look at this character, he can hit a critical 9. Imagine the possibilities with any job. This isn’t restricted for thieves and Bowmen anymore.
They also had implemented a EXP curve to make people level up faster!
(They had also changed how they show the exp.)
Before the Patch >>> After the Patch
From ME- “Great now everyone has a new power boost and now all we can all hit at extraordinary damage without leveling at least five times to get the same damage ratio.” Thumbs up (3)
5. The famous party quests which helped almost every Mapler until the rise of the Monster Carnival has become revolutionize in the NEW patch. Here’s the change:
Some of the party quests were completely changed. Most of the party quests had tweaks here and there to make them much shorter for people.
- First Accompaniment: Lv.20 ~ Lv.200
- Cracked Dimension : Lv.30 ~ Lv.200
- Forest of Poison Fog : Lv.40 ~ Lv.200
- Remnants of Goddess : Lv.50 ~ Lv.200
- Pirate Davy Jones : Lv.60 ~ Lv.200
- Romeo and Juliet : Lv.70 ~ Lv.200
- Resurrection of the Hob King : Lv.80 ~ Lv.200
Bit of an update of Ludibrum PQ, (Cracked Dimension). If you ever experienced LPQ, then you know that the most time-consuming part of the quest is stage 8.
This is LPQ, Stage 8 before. Background: In Stage 8, “The aim of this stage is to get the right combination of boxes which will crack the wall, you will need 5 members to complete this stage, if not, then you must start the quest all over again.”
Now in KMS, to clear a stage, you get a problem like ex (400+140-72 =?) = 468 then three people go on the numbers 4, 6 and 8. Then you can clear. You do NOT need 5 people anymore, and this takes around 3 minutes depending on how your math skills are.
So all you need to do is to reach the lowest required level and then you can PQ all you want after that.
In all the party quests, the bonus stage has been replaced with a special “pick-what-you-want” reward. But you better pick your chest fast before someone else does.
From ME- “This is another great thing. I don’t have to keep committing suicide after a party quest just to gain all the rewards before I level up out of the party quest requirements. And now, I can finish party quests very quickly, so more rewards and a new adventure.” Thumps up (4)
6. Ever wanted to know what your ranking is inside the game? Well now KMS has built in an integration within the game.
From ME- “Okay… I mean, I don’t really care if people know that I am better than them. This is a “quote” useless feature for me. But it is useful for some…so.” {NETURAL}
(Start to get disappointed.)
7. In this KMS release, they had reset a lot of current quests throughout the Maple World, now people need to redo the quests they had taken a lot of time for.
From ME- “Uh…okay. I still have my prior experience. But now thanks guys, I have to redo those useless quests once again.” Thumps down (1)
(For now this post will be updated as more news come in.)
SUMS IT UP!
Now your not dreaming, and your not being deceive. THIS WAS NOT PHOTOSHOPED!
Yes, a level 17 hitting against a Mushmom. A level 17 is giving 55 damage, and only getting 52 back from this (once*) fearsome boss.
What you saw was not in illusion. A level 17 killing a Mushmom. This tells you that monsters have dramatically changed and every character now can kill once* deadly monsters.
My Reaction when i first saw this- “OMFG! WHAT THE @&%*$#!”
Summary:
So far, for me. They have four good changes, one bad change, and two that is netural. This is in my opinion. What do you think? Am I wrong by giving too much credit to KMS, or vice-versa. Please comment below, tell me what you think. Go!

Dual Blade Q&A (Part 2)
A: There will be a button, just like with Aran, Evan, and Cygnus Knights, to create a Dual Blade character. It is an explorer but we gave it its own button so you can’t miss it.
Q: What are the skills like for Dual Blade?
A: Dual Blade will have fast, slashing, stabbing, and assassination skills, similar to the traditional Thief class. They will also have their own type of haste, endure, and blade booster skills. They will also have unique skills such as Mirror Imaging and Sudden Death for one hit kills. Dual Blade characters will be quite powerful in the Maple World.
Q: Will the Dual Blade Cash Shop shareable with Explorers?
A: Dual Blade characters will not be able to share their Cash Shop.
Q: Can Dual Blade characters enter Crimsonwood Keep Party Quest?
A: We haven’t made changes to the Crimsonwood Keep Party Quest to allow additional classes. Only the main Explorer classes will be able to participate. This does not mean that this will remain this way forever.
Meso Virus?
A new hacking phenomenon has been going around lately. There have been several reported cases of this new “virus” in almost every single server and world. The new meso hack involves the Meso Donation Box NPC in almost every town. With this hack, if one were to insert a negative amount of mesos, for example, negative 2,147,483,347, one would recive 2,147,483,347 mesos instead of losing all of that. With this new craze, one may exploit it and recive well over 100 billion mesos. Making a “smart” move, Nexon decided to not ban the hackers, but to unleash a hellban. This hellban spread like a virus, affecting anyone and everyone who comes in contact with these illegal mesos. The hellban prevented you from trading, selling, buying, and anything else that allowed an exchange of items or mesos. The only known way so far to get un-hellbanned is to submit a ticket to Nexon and wait 2 days to 6 months, depending on how fast they act. However, besides unleashing a hellban virus, Nexon has eliminated the souce of the porblem and patched it in the unscheduled server maintenance of July 5th. So far, there have been many reports of Nexon containing and eliminating these “virus mesos,” but few to none have been confirmed.

Dear Maplers,
Recently, we were alerted to a rise in mesos being introduced into MapleStory through an exploit. We have fixed this exploit and are actively working on stopping the spread of these mesos by investigating those who were involved. Players who used the exploit and those who are directly associated with it have been banned. We understand some players may not be directly associated but may have potentially obtained some mesos or have had their items bought with illegitimate mesos in the Free Market. These players have been trade blocked to prevent the spread of the exploited mesos. We assure you the trade block is temporary and will only remain in effect as we investigate. It is not permanent. Current players that are not trade blocked will not be subjected to the investigation or further action. You are safe to sell and buy from the Free Market without the repercussions of this exploit. We will reach a resolution shortly. If you feel you have been mistakenly blocked, please send us a ticket through our support system immediately.
Also, as a safety precaution to the exploit please keep these tips in mind.
- Do not take large sums of mesos from strangers.
- If a player offers you something that sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
- Avoid suspicious players and offers. Suspicious players try to off load non-legitly obtained items to avoid getting caught.
Thank you as we work on keeping MapleStory safe for all.
-The MapleStory Staff-
Do you think that you’ve been wrongfully hellbanned? Use the following form and submit it to Nexon.
Dear Nexon Representatives,
I am _(insert character name)_ from _(insert server)_. I have recently been banned from trading and faming other characters. I also cannot find myself on Nexon’s rankings. I assume that I have been banned for having mesos exploited from the Dalair glitch. I would like my case reviewed and for appropriate action to take place so that I may resume playing MapleStory. I thank you for your time and energy spent in this endeavor.
Sincerely,
_(insert name here)_

[KMST] V324- Even MORE skill updates
1 More Day until the first Big Bang update!
UI changed~
Here are more images of the updated UI.
▲ Charater make up
▲ In the test server the level requirement for several party quests were changed. Players who are Lv. 200 or less can play as well.
If you want to complete a PQ, click one in the Mirror of Dimension UI and you’ll be warped to a map which depends of the choice you made.
For example) I want to play with my friends at Kerning PQ. I click the icon in the UI and I’ll be warped to a map with NPC Lakelis. This is way faster than traveling all the way to Kerning City and talk to Lakelis.
Zakum’s level was changed from 140 to 110.
Berserk Maha’s (Aran’s spirit) level was changed from 140 to 120.
Last but not least, here are the skill changes. ▼
Valkyrie:
- Cooldown of Lucky Dice reduced from 300 seconds to 200 seconds. Appears that delays were increased.
Hero:
- Brave Slash’s damage increased from 190% to 200%. Horizontal range reduced from 200 to 175 pixels.
White Knight:
Effect: Affected:
- Combat Orders got a proper animation
Dragon Knight, Dark Knight:
- Crusher now works with final attack. Range increased from 150% range to 180% range. A new animation was added. Once you reach level 120, Crusher becomes an orange color:
- Fury’s damage decreased from 380% to 360%. A new animation was added. Once you reach level 120, Fury becomes a red color:
- Dragon Blood’s weapon attack increased from 20 to 25.
- Dark Force is completely changed. Now, as long as you stay above 30% HP, you add 60% to (overall?) damage and 1 additional attack count on Crusher (so it will hit 3 mobs 4 times). There is no defense reduction.
Cleric:
- Heal was changed. They added a new variable, “u”, which is equal to 5 at all levels.- Blessing MATK and WATK reduced from 22 to 15. Do these guys really know what they’re doing?
Shadower:
- Boomerang Step now hits more mobs at lower levels.
Infighter:
- Cooldown of Lucky Dice reduced from 300 seconds to 200 seconds. Appears that delays were increased.
